Jacksonville Group Rides and Routes
Many of our locations are meeting points for group rides. During daylight savings time, a group ride can be found nearly every evening. Saturday morning rides take place all year. Give us a call and we'll get you hooked up with the best group ride for your comfort and skill level.
Bike Rides & Events
Friday Coffee Ride
Join us (weather permitting) for a casual paced ride to Spring Park Coffee. We will ride down, enjoy a cup of coffee and return back to Open Road Bicycles Fleming Island:
- Date/Time: Fridays/ 0730
- Location: Open Road Bicycles Fleming Island
- Requirements: Road/Gravel Bikes. Helmets required.
- Pace: 15-16 mph pace
Saturday Ride Fleming Island
Rides leave from the parking lot. It is a no drop ride. This is not a race ride. There is no A, B or C group. It is a no drop ride. If this is your first ride, don't worry, we've all been where you are. Don't be afraid to ask questions or take direction. Your safety and the safety of the group is our #1 concern. Lastly, have fun and be safe.

- Pace: 17-19 mph avg
Saturday Ride San Marco
- Date/Time: Saturdays/0730
- Location: Open Road Bicycles Parking Lot Miramar Plaza
- Requirements: Road/Gravel Bike. Helmets required. Lights recommended but not required
- Pace: Varies
Penney Farms Short Route Sunday
Presented by: Velo Brew Racing
- Date/Time: Sunday's November/December 73 Miles. All rides start at 8:00 am.
- Location: Open Road Bicycles Hendricks lot. Quick Nature break after the SR16 and SR17 / after the Shands bridge
- General notes: For those that want a shorter route, there will be the option to turn off the group in Orangedale for a 50-mile loop. Ride pace will be 20-22 mph, no drop in NOV-DEC. Go easy into the wind.
- Requirement: Always wear your helmet, obey all traffic laws/signs, and point out road hazards to other riders. Lights recommended.

North Florida Bicycle Club
The North Florida Bicycle Club seeks to foster camaraderie and safe bicycling in northeast Florida. NFBC began in the 1970’s as a racing club and evolved over the years into a social club. NFBC has become one of the largest bicycling clubs in Florida, well known for our rides, cycling advocacy and education and Charity Ride and Travel Teams.
Velobrew Jacksonville
VeloBrew has been the premier cycling club in Northeast Florida since 2002. Founded in Jacksonville, the club started as a group of road cyclists who met for group rides and raced together. It quickly grew a Junior cycling development program to facilitate the growth of participation in the sport.
