This protects your expensive fork, transfers more of the tightening torque to clamping load for a stiffer interface and prevents the axle from sticking or galling when you want to remove it. These are also a great replacement option for lost or damaged stock axles. Chris King Driveshells contain two of our legendary made-in-house bearings, a machined bearing spacer spring to aid in preloading the bearings and a spacer spring o-ring. We encourage you to service your bearings before resorting to replacement. Driveshell Inner Bearings require an R45 or Universal Hub Tool to remove and reinstall.
